On February 2nd, 2014, Sebastien Sasseville began a Run Across Canada to Outrun Diabetes in St. John's, Newfoundland. He will cross the country from coast to coast, running solo and covering a total of 7,500 kilometres - the equivalent of 180 marathons. His goal is to arrive in Vancouver on November 14th for World Diabetes Day. The Run Across Canada aims to raise awareness about the condition, as well as to inspire, educate and empower people living with diabetes, and to convince them that they can pursue their dreams.

From Mount Everest to the Sahara, Sébastien Sasseville inspires. Born on September 25th 1979, Sébastien obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications form Laval University. After a successful ascent of Mount Everest in 2008, he turned his sights on the mythical Sahara race in which he competed in 2012: a self-supported 250km ultra-marathon across the largest desert on the planet.? ? Mountaineer, endurance athlete and Ironman – 6 completed Ironman – Sébastien is now a member of the USA based Novo Nordisk Triathlon Team.
Since 2005, Sébastien Sasseville delivered over 150 keynotes across North America and dedicated his career to inspiring and empowering others and motivating audiences of all kinds.
In the spirit of sharing the dream, Sasseville led teenagers to the top of the tallest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, in 2005 and to Mount Everest base camp in 2007.
